Mike Chek Entertainment is introducing this young rising star producer, Patrick Currence aka Mykal Star. Mykal Star is not new to the music industry. He began playing the drums at age 5 and has performed in several local, regional and national venues. Recently, he performed with his brother Rudy Currence on the BET’s 106 and Park. Mykal Star has been with great mega producers such as Brian Michael Cox,
Polo Da Don, The Justice League, Chuck Harmony, Salaam Remi, Rodney Jerkins and Midi Mafia.

Mykal Star has produced many tracks for up and coming artists. He co-produced tracks
on his brother, Rudy’s self-released 2003 and 2006 albums titled, “More Than You’ll Ever Know” and “Here With You. His brother, Rudy recently appeared on the View with Ludacris and Naturally 7 performing Quincy Jones newly released single titled Bossa Nostra. Mykal Star produced several tracks on his brother highly anticipated new album called “Black Keys and Blue Skies” to be released this summer.

Many of Mykal Star’s productions are not only heavily influenced by but are compared to
great producers such as Timbaland, The Neptunes, and Rodney Jerkins. Mykal Star
aspires to become a nationally known producer and hopes someday to be able to leave his
mark in the music industry.
