…The time has indeed come for the world to meet Mike Chek Ent., DTP, Island Def Jam Recording Artist Rudy Currence. Emerging with a brand new sound, look, and feel, expect nothing less than greatness from this rising young star. Currence, a young singer-songwriter, musician, and producer began to sign his signature on the world at an early age with such writing credits as songs for multi-platinum recording artist Mya, a song featured in the blockbuster hit movie “The Bourne Identity” starring Matt Damon and a song titled “Let’s Play House” for national recording artist Ray J on his album, “Raydiation.” He has been honored as one of the recipients of the ASCAP writer’s award and received this award in 2005, 2006 and 2007. Rudy released several projects including two very successful indie CD’s “More Than You’ll Ever Know” and “Here With You,” as well as a Christmas EP “Last Christmas,” all available now on iTunes. Rudy made his national television debut last year performing on ABC’s “The View” for Quincy Jones’ latest single “Bossa Nostra” also featuring Ludacris and Naturally 7. He also performed his song “Zion” live on BET’s 106 and Park.

Rudy’s new single, “THE O.T.H.E.R.”, produced by DJ Don Cannon is now available for download. It definitely gives the listener a glimpse of what’s to come… The forthcoming mixtape titled “DIGITAL ANALOG” is slated for release on 11.22.11. Speaking about his new music Currence adds “I’m really excited. I haven’t released an entire project in a while and this is the perfect time to reinvent myself.” The new mixtape is essentially the best of both worlds. Currence combines the futuristic sounds and innovative elements of “Electronic” music and fuses them with the live instrumentation and ” raw feel goodness” of classic “Soul” music.

My new music is fresh and completely different than anything I’ve ever done before but its exactly who I am right now. I’m carving out a new lane for myself and I love this new space I’m in. I literally feel like I’m on the other side of the world… Its like I’m not just making music anymore… I’m making history. R.Currence
